Lynn Harrell and Elizabeth Pridgen have elected to cancel their appearances due to the coronavirus outbreak. The Festival will be issuing refunds to ticket holders as soon as possible.

Lynn Harrell has been revered as one of the world’s most brilliant and beloved cellists for over 50 years. His discography of more than 70 recordings includes collaboration with such eminent musicians as Itzhak Perlman, Vladimir Ashkenazy and Zubin Mehta. Together with Messrs. Perlman and Ashkenazy, Mr. Harrell was awarded two Grammies for recordings of the Tchaikovsky Piano Trio and the complete Beethoven Piano Trios. Known as the “Dean of American Cellists,” Mr. Harrell has performed as soloist with symphony orchestras around the world, including those of Boston and Chicago, the New York Philharmonic, the National Symphony, and major orchestras in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong where he was featured in a three-week Lynn Harrell Cello Festival with the Hong Kong Philharmonic.

 

 

 

Pianist Elizabeth Pridgen is a distinguished soloist and chamber musician. Artistic Director of the Atlanta Chamber Players, Ms. Pridgen performs regularly at the Rome (Italy) Chamber Music Festival, the Strings Music Festival in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival and the Aspen Music Festival. As a chamber musician, she has collaborated with Robert McDuffie, Yo-Yo Ma, Lynn Harrell, Hilary Hahn and Anne Akiko Meyers. Ms. Pridgen is Distinguished Artist and Piano Chair at the McDuffie Center for Strings and the G. Leslie Fabian Piano Chair at the Townsend School of Music at Mercer University.
